During 2017, Fort Worth home sales raised 5.4 percent to 12,726 homes. The median price for Fort Worth homes increased 11.9 percent year-over-year to $207,000 in 2017.
“The Texas real estate market was strong in 2017 and the Fort Worth housing report reflects that. Most of the trends we were seeing in 2017, rising prices and low inventory, are expected to continue in 2018,” said J.R. Martinez, 2018 President for the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS®.
FORT WORTH, Texas – January 17, 2018 – Fort Worth home sales raised 12 percent to 1,105 homes in December 2017. The median price for Fort Worth homes increased 9.5 percent year-over-year to $215,454 in December 2017.
“Despite being a slower time of year for real estate, the Fort Worth market finished the year strong with an increase in sales and listings. We are still in a seller’s market and can expect that trend to continue in 2018,” said J.R. Martinez, 2018 President for the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS®.
These new rules are the result of years of work by the Commission and key stakeholders focusing on clarity of advertisements for consumers with the least restrictions on license holders. The rules also interpret and balance revised statutory requirements supporting free commerce and business competition with those protecting the consumer from misleading advertisements.
