Interested in serving on a GFWAR committee? GFWAR has 16 different committees open to members in 2019. Committees generally meet for one hour, once a month at the GFWAR building. Business After Hours Committee: Plans the GFWAR networking happy hour events throughout the year.
Bylaws Committee: Reviews and updates the GFWAR Bylaws to meet the changing needs of the Association. (Limited Appointments.)
Communications Committee: Provides internal and external marketing and public relations support to communicate with members and raise the profile for the Association and its members in the community.
Community Housing Initiatives Committee: Establishes programs that assure fair housing and equal opportunity. Acknowledges historic and revitalized properties in Fort Worth through the Neighborhood Revitalization Award.
Professional Development Committee: Develops and implements the educational programs offered through the Association.
Governmental Affairs Committee: Makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding support of candidates for elective office and stays informed on matters of local, state and national governments. (Limited Appointments.)
Leasing / Management Forum Committee: Monitors leasing / management issues and provides educational opportunities. Meets quarterly.
Multiple Listing Service Committee: Reviews and makes recommendations in all matters relating to NTREIS and enforces the rules and regulations of MLS. (Limited appointments.)
Professional Standards Committee: Serves on panels to hear ethics and arbitration disputes. Promotes professional etiquette and the NAR Code of Ethics. (TAR Educational requirements apply.)
Regional Membership Engagement Committee: Encourages and supports membership involvement of members in Johnson County, Parker County, North Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
School Liaison Committee: Supports education and builds relationships with public, private, and charter schools throughout the community, including Association Adopt-A-School, Greenbriar Elementary.
Special Events Committee: Organizes various GFWAR events including the Holiday luncheon to benefit GFWAR’s Adopt-A-School, Greenbriar Elementary School, the Installation celebration, the TAR conference, and other special events.
Technology Committee: Monitors advances in technology to provide technological training to members and eveluates new technology products.
TREPAC Committee: Provides education and events to support local, state and national legislation favorable to real property owners and REALTORS®.
Underwriting Committee: Creates and sets prices for advertsing packages to cover costs for special events. Solicits annual sponsorships. Sets expense budgets for special events.
Young Professionals Network: Plans events and implements programs geared toward young professionals in the Association.
