Course Description: As a Texas REALTOR®, you can help more people realize the dream of homeownership. United Texas, the anchor of the Affordable Housing Specialist Certification, gives you the information you need to help your clients with low-cost financing, assistance programs, and a host of other options to make housing more affordable and available to all buyers. Partners for this course include the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, and the Texas Veterans Land Board.
This 2-day certification equips Texas REALTORS® with the knowledge of "workforce housing" programs and alternatives that help make home ownership in Texas affordable and sustainable. The more you know about affordable housing programs, the better you can assist your clients in making home ownership a reality. The better your understanding of processes surrounding short sales and foreclosures, the more guidance you can provide on either side of these transactions. Together, the certification will enable Texas REALTORS® to help clients find solutions that will meet their financial needs while best serving their long-term goals.
