The Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® was established in 1918 and has spent more than a century representing the real estate industry in the Greater Fort Worth area. With 5,000 REALTOR® and affiliate members, our mission is to advocate for private property rights and fair housing opportunities while advancing professionalism and ethics in the real estate industry.

As REALTORS®, GFWAR members have the ability to reach every member of our society. We work to serve each prospective client, customer, and member of our community with a commitment to equity and inclusion, and without regard to race, color, religion, age, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Nationally represented, Texas strong
As the nation's largest trade association, NAR is "The Voice for Real Estate," working on behalf of America's property owners and representing over one million members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry. All REALTORS® are members of NAR and answer to a higher level of ethical and professional standards.
GFWAR members are also members of Texas REALTORS®, the largest professional membership association in Texas. Their mission is to promote and protect private property ownership and rights, to advocate for Texas REALTORS® and property owners, and to keep homeownership affordable.
A vision for the future
The GFWAR 2023-24 Strategic Plan outlines the association’s goals in the areas of Advocacy, Community Outreach, Professionalism & Education, and Member Communication & Engagement. Each goal supports GFWAR’s efforts to provide the highest level of service to its members and the community, while upholding GFWAR’s legacy of being the local voice of real estate for over a century.
