GFWAR installed their 2024 Board of Directors and elected Blake Barry, Williams Trew Real Estate, as 2024 Board President. The Association’s REALTOR® and Affiliate members celebrated at their annual installation event in early January.
“I look forward to leading our Association, and strengthening the relationships we have within our membership and with our community. We’re stronger when we work together, both in service to our industry and our clients,” stated Barry.
As a third-generation REALTOR®, Barry has been a highly engaged member of GFWAR serving on the TREPAC, Governmental Affairs, and Young Professionals committees. Barry has served on the Board of Directors since 2020, where he helped guide the Association as it maintained operations throughout the pandemic and navigated a new landscape in the years that followed. Barry credits his approach to real estate by watching his grandmother, Joan Trew, build meaningful relationships with her clients. His year in leadership will be centered around communicating the value of a REALTOR® and highlighting the high standards of service and professionalism they bring to the real estate industry.

A DFW native, Barry attended Baylor University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He began his career in the oil and gas industry as a Land Man for EOG Resources and Forestar Oil & Gas. He obtained his real estate license in 2006 and transitioned into a full-time REALTOR® with Williams Trew Real Estate in 2015. When off the clock you can find Barry spending time with his wife and three children, rearing cattle on his family’s ranch or on a boat waiting for a fish to take the bait.
