We’re excited to share some important news about the future of your REALTOR® association.

On August 13, the Boards of Directors for the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® (GFWAR) and the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS® (GLAR) approved an agreement to bring both associations together under the GFWAR name. We are currently in the due diligence phase, and provided the process continues as anticipated, members will have the opportunity to vote and make the final decision. This vote will take place on Wednesday, October 8.

We’re excited to move forward together to serve our members better. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to Lead forward with vision, Empower one another through collaboration, Advocate with a stronger voice and Drive success across our communities. Building on Shared Values

If this plan moves forward, we will preserve GLAR’s identity and legacy by establishing a local council representing the greater Lewisville area. This leadership group will provide input and strategic guidance on advocacy, education and member engagement specific to the region.

What’s Not Changing (and What’s Improving)

There will be no changes to your MLS access or other services. In fact, this move will bring more opportunities, additional resources, and more personalized support for all members. Classes and events will continue as usual, and with the combined association, even more options will be available to better serve everyone.

Upcoming Town Halls: Let’s Talk in Person

We’re committed to maintaining clear and fact-based communication. Before any vote takes place, both associations will provide regular updates through emails, FAQs, and town halls to ensure all members stay informed and prepared.

The Town Hall meetings for GFWAR members will be held in person at the GFWAR office located at 2650 Parkview Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76102.

August 27 at 3:00 p.m. – REGISTER
September 4 at 2:00 p.m. – REGISTER
September 16 at 10:00 a.m. – REGISTER
September 30 at 2:00 p.m. – REGISTER
October 6 at 10:00 a.m. – REGISTER

Membership Vote Information

GFWAR members will have two options to vote:

October 8, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the GFWAR office
October 8, during the Annual Membership Luncheon at River Crest
