Our Current Committees
When you serve on a GFWAR committee, you will come to know some of the very best people in the business, growing your network of contacts in the industry. GFWAR committees are truly the backbone of the association, carrying out creative ideas that support our Strategic Plan. This is where you can get involved, lend your insights and expertise, and help shape the future of GFWAR. No matter your interest, there is a committee for you – we promise!
Getting Started
To participate in a committee, you must be an active member of GFWAR. We recommend joining a maximum of three committees, and you should be able to attend meetings once a month for each committee you join.

Business After Hours Committee
This committee plans the GFWAR networking happy hour events throughout the year to enhance membership engagement, communicate value, and raise funds for Educational Foundation scholarships. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You enjoy meeting new people and staying in the loop about the latest hotspots and activities. Making connections comes naturally to you.
Bylaws Committee
Reviews and updates the GFWAR Bylaws to meet the changing needs of the Association. (Limited appointments.)
Community Outreach Committee
This committee promotes and encourages community involvement and GFWAR visibility through educational events, volunteerism, and fundraising. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You are the spark that lights up the neighborhood and you’re looking for a fun way to give back, make new friends, and spread some positivity.
Diversity and Inclusion Committee
This committee makes a positive impact on the cultural conversations in our area related to diversity through education, exposure, and strategic partnerships. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members. This is a standing committee.
Why Join: You want to create a welcoming space for everyone and celebrate what makes us unique. You also care deeply about helping REALTORS® champion fair housing practices to build a stronger, more inclusive community for all.
Educational Foundation Board
This Board oversees a scholarship for deserving students in the Greater Fort Worth area and helps with fundraising, publicizing the scholarship to local schools, and reviewing applications to distribute the funds.
Why Join: You’re passionate about supporting local non-profits and thrive on setting ambitious goals. Dreaming big is your favorite part of the process.
Events Committee
This committee plans events including the Annual Membership Meeting, Awards Luncheon, affiliate appreciation, member picnic, and additional special events as needed. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: Creating unforgettable events is your passion. You take every chance to be creative, have fun, and make every event a hit.
Global Committee
This committee exists to ignite global awareness, engagement, and support in the greater Fort Worth real estate market and international community initiatives. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You want to help connect the world, one opportunity at a time. You enjoy meeting people from diverse cultures and countries and approach all business with a global mindset.
Governmental Affairs Committee
This committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding support of candidates for elected office and stays informed on matters of local, state, and national governments. (Limited appointments.) Comprised of REALTOR® members only. This is a standing committee.
Why Join: You’re always in the know when it comes to news and politics, with a sharp mind for thinking critically. Political advocacy for property rights? That’s what keeps you fired.
Greenbriar Season of Giving Task Force
This Task Force organizes the annual GFWAR Season of Giving Luncheon to benefit local schools during the holidays. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You spread joy to kids like Santa himself and can quote “Elf” from start to finish. Holiday shopping? You’re done in July.
Multiple Listing Service Committee
This committee reviews and makes recommendations in all matters relating to NTREIS and enforces the rules and regulations of the MLS. (Limited appointments.) Comprised of REALTOR® members only. This is a standing committee.
Why Join: You like being a behind-the-scenes hero of real estate listings and keeping things running smoothly.
Professional Development Committee
This committee develops and implements the professional development programs offered through the Association. Comprised of REALTOR® members only.
Why Join: Some folks collect art, you collect REALTOR® designations. You’re passionate about professionalism and industry know-how, and you know the Code of Ethics by heart.
Society of Commercial REALTORS®
This committee advances knowledge, education, and integrity in the field of commercial real estate through networking and educational opportunities. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You’ve got a passion for education and events that help make our commercial members thrive.
TREPAC Committee
This committee communicates the mission and importance of TREPAC to the membership and stays informed on local, state, and national legislation. It also raises funds through direct member contact, cultivation of major investors, and events. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
Why Join: You like to mix fun and fundraising all while rallying support for the industry you love and championing real estate advocacy.
Young Professionals Network Committee
This committee plans events and implements programs geared toward young professionals in the Association with a goal of helping them elevate their careers and expand their colleague sphere. Comprised of REALTOR® and Affiliate members.
