Real estate sales agents and brokers are required to renew their licenses every two years. This process includes mandatory continuing education courses, with some required and others available as electives at the agent's discretion.
Sales Agents
Total Credit Hours: 18 hours every 2 years (from date of renewal)
- 4 hours of TREC Legal 1
- 4 hours of TREC Legal 2
- 3 hours of contract-related courses
- 7 hours of other elective CE courses

Broker
Total Credit Hours: 18 hours every 2 years (from date of renewal)
- 4 hours of TREC Legal 1
- 4 hours of TREC Legal 2
- 3 hours of contract-related courses

- 1 hour of an elective CE course
