Women's History Month Spotlight: Jennifer Franke

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating trailblazers who are shaping the future of real estate—like Jennifer Franke, a powerhouse in commercial real estate and the first female chair of the Society of Commercial REALTORS® (SCR). Her leadership is a testament to breaking barriers, fostering connections, and paving the way for future generations of women in the industry. Read more about her inspiring journey below:

Name a woman who inspires you.

I have been fortunate to have had several amazing mentors throughout my career that have instilled deep values in me that I carry with me daily.

What is one lesson you had to learn as a woman in Real Estate?

That I will never know everything! Real estate is an ever-changing landscape of change. Every client, property and situation is different.

What is a business accomplishment that you are most proud of?

My work in the Near Southside, and involvement in the development and sales of the Dickson-Jenkins Lofts & Plaza. This project instilled my love for all historical properties and conversions.

Do you have any advice for women who aspire to be in leadership roles?

Don't get distracted by the outside noise. It is easy to get sidetracked by naysayers and those that do not want to see you succeed. Always be open to learning new things and surround yourself with those you aspire to be like.
